SDN - Software Defined Networking
Objective:
This course is a comprehensive technical introduction to the increasingly important and exciting field of Software Defined networking. First the origin of SDN is discussed, followed by a detailed discussion of the SDN Architecture (Application, Control, Infrastructure Layer). Separation of Data Plane, control plane and management planes are discussed. Various controller designs are discussed. The Mininet emulator is introduced and students will be doing different labs based on Mininet. Understanding of Middleboxes, Firewall, fault tolerance and security etc are also covered.
Course Outline :-
- Introduction to the Course - What is Software Defined Networks SDN.
- Learn SDN Architecture Application, Control, and Infrastructure Layer.
- API between Control Plane and Data Plane.
- Various Controllers Design.
- Various SDN Abstraction and various.
- Various SDN Abstraction.
- Various SDN Virtualization.
- SDN Endhosts, Middleboxes, Debugging, fault tolerance and Security.
- SDN Security and Scalability.
- Explore advanced topics.
Duration and Timings:
Approximately 8-9 weeks (10 hours per week/3 days per week). Timings are flexible as per coordination between students and faculty and will be scheduled on an ongoing basis. We prepared this course schedule and content to address market demand to ensure a successful job placement. Any suggestions from student community will be considered. Final content and schedule timings are subjected to vary.
Post Training:
- Students will have gained sufficient knowledge on big data and storage mechanism.
